Values define and drive our ministry. At Westside Christian Church, we value:
Making God’s Word Plain (Teaching/Preaching)
We are committed to teach the Bible with integrity and authority in order that seekers may find Christ and believers may mature in Him. We are committed to expository teaching (allowing the Scripture to speak for itself) that is evangelical, doctrinal and practical.
Praying And Praising (Worship)
We desire to acknowledge God’s supreme value and worth through worship by thoughtful words, private and corporate prayer, and music that exalts and ascribes praise to Him and Him alone.
Building Community (Fellowship)
We seek the integration of every member of the church into a community where relationships are developed, biblical understanding is encouraged and service to others is practiced as the normative outworking of our faith.
Learning To Think And Act Biblically (Discipleship)
We strive to be effectively educating and training people in order to inform, equip and train every member of the church to be renewed in their thinking and transformed in their lifestyle.
Supporting The Home (Family)
We support the spiritual nurture of the family as one of God’s dynamic means to perpetuate the Christian faith and strengthen the church, locally and universally.
Serving Those In Need (Compassion)
We will encourage every member of the church to minister God’s mercy and love to those in need, within and outside of the church, through service that is responsive, sacrificial and redemptive.
Reaching Our Community And Beyond (Evangelism/Missions)
We are committed to an intentional effort to proclaim the redemption and salvation of Jesus Christ, through word and action, to those who have yet to believe, both locally and globally.
Mobilizing Ministry (Multiplication)
We seek to equip each individual in the church to utilize their uniquely designed gift(s) and passions to effectively accomplish the work of the ministry and by consistently and regularly planting new churches.
Serving With Excellence (Excellence In Ministry)
Since God gave His very best (His Son, our Savior), we seek to honor Him by maintaining a high standard of excellence in all that we do.
