Pastor
Nathan and Amy Cherry met at San Jose Christian College, now William Jessup University, and were married in July of 1997. Nathan graduated from SJCC in 1996 with a double Bachelor of Arts degree in Youth Ministry and Bible & Theology. Amy graduated in 1997 with her Associates Degree in Bible & Theology. Nathan went on to earn his Masters of Cristian Leadership from Hope International University in 2008.
Nathan was born and raised in Eugene, OR where he grew up in the local church, played sports and was an active member of his youth group. Amy was born in Turlock, CA and grew up in the church, most of which was with her dad’s church plant. They have 3 boys, Zachery, Luke and Joshua, and have been in ministry working in the areas of youth, children, discipleship and sports for the past 20+ years. Nathan accepted the Senior Pastor position here at WCC in 2017.
In their free time, they enjoy going to garage sales, adventuring as a family in the great outdoors, watching the Golden State Warriors basketball team and reading. Amy enjoys giving new life to furniture, cooking and writing. Nathan enjoys kayaking, rock climbing, playing Fantasy Football with his buddies and reading a good book in his hammock.
Nathan joined the Westside staff in September of 2006.
