Frank Mascaro was born in Sacramento and grew up about 35 miles north in the small rural town of East Nicolaus. He attended grammar school and high school there, played all sports, hunted and fished and worked on the local farms.
He attended California State University, Fresno on an athletic scholarship and he received Christ shortly after graduation in January 1975.
Frank’s passion has always been teaching and equipping others to know the Scripture and to point people to Jesus Christ. Having had many gifted and committed people invest in him over the years, challenging him to grow in his faith and service, Frank has that same passion – to disciple others, equipping them to learn, grow and serve God and others – in the local church and beyond.
In 1981, he spent a year in Uganda, Africa after Idi Amin was deposed, working with a mission organization that ministered to orphans living on the streets of Kampala.

Upon his return from Uganda, Frank met Cheryl and they were married in 1984. They have two children, Brina, who works locally in the mortgage industry and Samuel, who attends college. Cheryl is an Enterprise Architect with Intel Corporation in Folsom and a scuba diver.
Frank is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary, with a ThM in Bible Exposition and has been in full-time pastoral ministry for the last fifteen years.For ten years he served as Pastor of Discipleship at Adventure Christian Church in Roseville. In April 2005, he left Adventure to plant a new church in the west Roseville area called Westside Christian Church.
Prior to attending Dallas Theological Seminary and entering full-time ministry, Frank taught special education in private non-profit agencies, as well as teaching for eight years in the Grant School District.
Hobbies include fishing, hunting, music, reading and being with people.
